The agreement
These terms are between you (or the company you represent) and Parasition AB, a company registered in Sweden. By creating a Hugo account, or by installing Hugo into a Slack workspace or Microsoft Teams tenant, you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind that company.
What Hugo is
Hugo is a consumer research service. It reads publicly available social media content and returns research answers, reports and analysis. You can use it through the web app at app.hugo.love or through a chat integration such as Slack or Microsoft Teams.
Your account
Keep your login credentials secure and do not share them. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think it has been compromised. Accounts are for the person or organisation they were issued to.
Acceptable use
Do not use Hugo to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, or to identify, profile, track or harass a specific private individual. Do not attempt to breach or overload the service, work around usage limits or access controls, resell access without our agreement, or use automated means to extract the service's output at scale. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to give us.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.
Plans, credits and payment
Some features require a paid plan or consume credits. Prices and what each plan includes are shown in the product before you buy. Fees are charged in advance through our payment processor and, unless the law says otherwise or we have agreed otherwise in writing, are non-refundable. If a payment fails we may suspend access until it is settled. We will give you notice before a price change takes effect, and you can cancel rather than accept it.
Who owns what
We own Hugo: the software, the models, the interface and everything we have built. You own the material you put into it. You keep the rights to the research outputs Hugo produces for you and may use them freely in your business. You give us permission to process your material only as far as we need to in order to run the service and improve how it works for you.
Hugo's outputs are generated by analysing third-party public content. That underlying content belongs to whoever made it, and quoting or republishing it remains your responsibility.
What we do not promise
Hugo produces research and analysis, not fact and not advice. Its output can be incomplete or wrong, and you should verify anything you are going to act on. It is not legal, financial, medical or professional advice. Business decisions you take on the back of it are yours.
We work to keep Hugo available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Third-party platforms can change what public content is available, which can change what Hugo can see.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your rights as a consumer, if any apply, are unaffected.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time. We can end or suspend access if you materially break these terms, or if we stop providing the service. In that case we will give you reasonable notice and refund any prepaid fees covering the period after it ends. On termination your right to use Hugo stops; the sections on ownership, liability and governing law survive.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use Hugo after that means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swedish law, and the courts of Sweden have jurisdiction, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, you keep any right you have to bring proceedings where you live.
